Spanish personality adjectives
How do you describe personality in Spanish?
Use ser for a characteristic you present as part of someone’s personality: Mi hermano es tranquilo. Estar usually describes a temporary state: Hoy está nervioso.
Make the adjective agree with the person or people. Use creativo / creativa / creativos / creativas, but amable becomes amable or amables for any gender.
Descriptions are interpretations, not permanent labels. Add normalmente, bastante, a veces or en esta situación when you want a softer and more precise statement.
Three rules for personality adjectives
Adjectives ending in -o usually have four forms: simpático, simpática, simpáticos, simpáticas.
Many adjectives ending in -e or a consonant use the same singular form for masculine and feminine: amable, sociable, responsable; add -s or -es in the plural.
Use ser + adjective for a characteristic and estar + adjective for a current state. Compare Es tranquilo with Está nervioso hoy.
Adverbs do not change: muy amable, bastante tímida, poco sociables. Avoid using muy with absoluto meanings unless normal usage allows it.

How should you practise personality adjectives?
Say both gender forms when they differ: generoso, generosa.
Make one singular and one plural sentence: Ella es creativa; ellos son creativos.
